ABOUT ME
INSIGHT
Welcome to my space on the web. I've always had a thing for photography. One of the best gifts my parents gave me as a small child was a camera. I was fascinated by what I could do with it and enjoyed taking photos(I know..it's the inner nerd in me..lol). It was then that I realized that I particularily loved black and white images. Call me crazy but I can look at the same image in b/w and in color and I see so much more in the black and white image. Don't misunderstand me, I love a good color image also but my eye knows what it likes. I also enjoy playing with tones and experimenting with techniques to get a different image than planned.
After putting the camera down for a few years and at the urging of a friend, decided to get back into it. Things have certainly changed a lot since I last picked up a camera but I accept the challenge.
I've been asked what sets me apart from other photographers. I had to think about that while going through my experiences being in front of the camera. It's simple: I take the time to get to know my subject so we can get to know each other. I think as you look at my images you will see that everyone seems relaxed. Granted, they start out a bit nervous but after a few jokes they begin to let their guard down. I treat each model as if they're the most important person in the room...and that's because they are. Most of my clients have told me that they enjoyed the experience so much that they've booked several sessions with me and have made referrals--which is a photographer's dream!
My mindset in getting back into photography is a simple one: take good quality photographs while paying attention to what the subject want to capture...afterall, they're paying for the finished product and at an affordable price. Once I've finished the photos, I'll place them on a disc and present them to you. I can print the images for an additional charge or you can print them yourself. Nice photographs doesn't have to be expensive. I'm very easy to work with and I will give my all to make sure I get the "right" shot...all I ask is anyone who poses come to the experience with an open mind and simply just have fun!
I've been asked why do I shoot subject matter(artistic nudes/boudoir/dudeoir) images and post them. Simple. I totally support Body Positivity 100%. The human form can be an expression of art in itself. If you've ever thought about it and want them tastefully done, reach out to me with your thoughts and concerns and let's see if it's right for you.
I've been blessed to be able to photograph various events--weddings(both opposite and same sex and I'm listed in the Baton Rouge Wedding Directory for the LGBT Community as a vendor), commitment ceremonies, Baton Rouge PrideFest(official photographer for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019),formal, group and family gatherings, pageants, senior photos, solos, duos, buildings, nature scenes. MLS listings and tastefully done artistic nudes/boudoir poses. I'm open to discuss what kind of shots you are looking to have captured and I look forward to setting up a session with you!
